Welcome to my 1st Grade classroom! I am Sheila Hilburn. I have taught 19 years at Wylie Elementary, all those years being in first grade. I love reading, being with my family, and quilting.
I am married to Wes Hilburn and I have two very active girls, Mikayla, 11, and Cameron, 13.
My main emphasis in my classroom is reading. We, also, study math, social studies, and science. My main goal for my students is to develop a love for reading as well as a love for themselves.

Notes from the teacher:

1. Please don’t forget to return your library books. Our library day is Wednesday.
2. Don’t forget to order your child’s next years wrap pac of school supplies.
3. We will be going to May Farms Mon., May 19th for a field trip. I will be sending you more information later.
4. There will be no school Mon., May 26th for Memorial day.
5. May 28th & 29th are both early release (1:00) days. Thurs., May 29th will be the last day of school.
