CLASSROOM RULES:
1. Follow Directions
2. Follow School Rules
3. Treat Others Kindly
4. Smile
A "Name Book" is used for students to sign if they break a rule. Students record their name and the offense under the appropriate day of the week. The weekly conduct grade is based on the number of times a student's name is in the book in one week.
0 -- E 1 -- S 2 -- N 3 -- U
Students begin each week with an E. The six weeks' grades are averaged to get the conduct grade for the report card.
A lowered conduct grade and missing Friday recess are two consequences of misconduct. Other possible consequences: a note or a call home, go to the principal's office, isolation.

All week the children will earn stickers on their sticker charts. They will earn stickers several ways: not writing their name in the book for the day, following directions, special behavior, making a 100 on a test, etc. Students can use their stickers to buy jobs or special treats such as lunch in the room, sitting at my desk, drink in class, etc.
The class has the chance each day to earn three marbles in my class and three marbles in their switch classes. If they get noisy or are not listening or following directions, they will lose a marble and earn fewer marbles. When the class earns 250 marbles, we will have a marble party. If the class doesn't lose a marble all day in any class, they will get a sticker to go on their chart as well.
Children who have not signed their names in the book all week and have returned all homework papers will earn extra recess time on Friday.

*If a student makes 70 or above on a graded paper, he/she gets that grade.
*If a student makes 69 or below, he/she must retest or correct the paper to earn a grade no higher than a 70.
*If the corrections are still wrong and the grade is lower than a 70, the lower grade will be recorded.
*No grade lower than a 50 will be recorded in the grade book.
*Every grade has equal weight. |
