Hi. I am Mrs. Powell. This year marks my sixteenth year to teach Kindergarten at Wylie I.S.D. My husband of 30 years, also teaches at Wylie. He teaches 8th Grade English at the Junior High. We have three children. Our two sons are married and each of them have one child and are expecting again in March. So, March will be an exciting month at our house! Our third child is a daughter whom is in her third year of college.
I love teaching Kindergarten and hope to give each child a great start in school. My goal for each child is the followwing:
1. That each child feels he/she is a capable person.
2. That each child develops more personal independence and responsibility.
3. That each child learns in Kindergarten.
4. That each child feels school is a safe, fun, exciting place to be!
