Students do not exchange gifts at the Christmas parties. Instead, they make Christmas cards for each other in class. At home, they decorate a shoe box like a Christmas package and cut a slit in the top (like the one on a Valentine box) so they can mail the cards. The slit should be about 1/2 inch wide and 5 inches long. The student's name needs to be on the top of the box and the box should be at school by December 19th. They will need to be able to remove the cards. You may want to wrap the lid separately.
