Hello! I'm Lenda Jensen and I absolutely love my job teaching first grade at Wylie Elementary. The staff, administrators, students, and parent support is remarkable here. I've been teaching at Wylie for fourteen years along with my husband Paul, who works at the junior high. We have four children and special girls in our lives: L'Nae who is married to Chace Craig. They live in College Station where L'nae is a labor and delivery nurse and Chace is in graduate school at A&M. Mendy is a junior at Abilene Christian University studying marketing and finances. Ryder is a freshman at ACU studying business finances. Carlee Lane is a 6th grader at Craig M.S and Jolee her little sister is a 2nd grader at Bonham.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to teach. The abundant joy and laughter children daily deliver to me lifts my spirit. I pray that I will be able to teach each child how to read, write, and do arithmetic beyond their ability. But above that, I pray that I will teach them "the fruit of the spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." (Galatians 5:22)
I thank God for seasoning my life through children...they are the apple of His eyes (and mine!). |
