Hi! I'm Laura Donaway and I teach Fourth Grade. This is my eighth year at Wylie. I taught First Grade at St. John's Episcopal School before coming to Wylie. I was born and raised in Odessa, I attended college at Texas Tech University and received my teaching certification from McMurry University. My family has made Abilene its home for the last 20 years. I enjoy teaching at Wylie Intermediate. We have a wonderful staff here at the Intermediate School that is a part of an incredible school district.

We have a great curriculum here at Wylie Intermediate that builds upon the foundations of previous grades but readies our students for the challenges of Fifth Grade and beyond. We continue with the Saxon Math Program and the McGraw-Hill Reading Program. Fourth Graders continue to learn the Shurley Language Method for Language Arts and the Accelerated Reader Program to compliment our reading program. We take th3 TAKS test for Math, Reading and Writing
Fourth Grade is a wonderful time of becoming much more independent in working and thinking. We have an exciting year planned and invite you to stop in and visit us at any time.
