Hi! My name is Kay Ray and I teach reading to first graders here on the elementary campus. Each year it is a joy to be a part of the process of a child's learning how to read. This is my 11th year to be a part of the reading team at Wylie. I have taught other grades in others districts and in other states, but I love being right here.

I hope that you as parents will enjoy watching your child learn to read as much as I do.

Mrs. Wyatt and I are enjoying working with your child in the Reading Lab. We read three new stories each week and practice writng words that will help them in both reading and writing. We want to remind you that open house is October the 3rd from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Please make sure that you stop by the reading lab and let your child give you a tour of what they do.

Each day your child comes to the reading lab they work with words on the computer and read stories of an appropriate level. Each week we read three new stories and have stories for familiar reading. Reading should be fun and easy. We hope that You will come by the reading lab when you bring your child to open house tonight.
