I graduated from ACC in 1970 and began teaching physical education in Fort Worth for a year at Rosemont Middle School. I married Nick Pruitt that following summer and moved back to Abilene and taught 7th grade Science and P.E. for the next 15 years. I moved to Wylie to teach 7th grade Science, where I retired and now teach for a half day. I love sports, decorating, shopping, vacationing in Colorado, and playing with my two grandchildren, Jaycee and Blake. Jeb is my oldest son and lives in Odessa with his wife, Stacie. Jacob and Leah married last Christmas and live in Abilene. My daughter, Holly attends nursing school at Hendricks and will graduate next May. My life is very blessed with a wonderful husband and children. I don't believe life can be any better than this! Teaching keeps me alert and enriches my day when any of my students learn something new. I hope that I give each student a true zest for life, which will excite them about sharing it with others.
