Discipline Plan
CLASSROOM RULES:

1. Be happy
2. Laugh each day
3. Raise your hand
4. Work quietly
5. Be patient
6. Respect others

"The Book" is used for students to sign if they break a rule. Students record their name and the offense under the appropriate day of the week. The weekly conduct is recorded on the conduct sheet in their Monday folders. You will need to sign and date this folder page each week when it is brought home. The conduct grade that is placed on their report card will come from this sheet. It will be a cumulative process for each six weeks.

CONSEQUENCES:
* If a student signs the book once during the day, they will miss 5 minutes of recess.

* If a student signs the book twice during a day, they will miss all of recess.

* If a student signs the book three times during a day, they will miss all of recess and a note will be sent home.

* If a student signs the book four times during a day, they will miss all of recess, a note will be sent home, and they will be sent to see the principal.

* Any severe offense will be handled by the principal immediately.

INCENTIVES:
Each student will get a sticker chart. This chart will hold 25 stickers which they can earn during the day for various reasons. When a chart is full, they may turn it in for rewards. They will then be given another chart to begin.

THIRD GRADE GRADING POLICY:
*If a student makes 70 or above on a graded paper, he/she gets that grade.

* Tests can not be corrected for a higher grade.

*If a student makes 69 or below, on a daily grade he/she must correct the paper to earn a grade no higher than a 70.

*If the corrections are still wrong and the grade is lower than a 70, the lower grade will be recorded.

*No grade lower than a 50 will be recorded in the grade book.

*Daily grades are 40% of the total grade and tests are 60% of the total grade.
