Attached is my Welcome Letter given to all students at the beginning of the year. It contains class policies, subject information, discipline program, and much more.

Our class schedule is set as a guideline. I stick to it as much as possible, but changes do ocurr without notice. Please check the weekly newsletter for more accurate information.

Students are required to earn 10 AR points each six weeks. Each student also has a personal goal set according to their reading level. As they meet levels of AR points, rewards are given. Attached is our AR Reward Chart. Some of the events get pretty exciting! Mrs. Parks is getting her hair painted for 350 points!

The students are required to keep a running reading log of all books they read at school. They record the book title, level, point value, dates, and grade when the AR test is taken. A copy of this log is attached.

This is an incentive system where the students earn tickets for various things. Things like:
100, 90, and 80 on AR Tests
Reading at home.
Returning Monday folders on Tuesday, signed by a parent.
Bringing Box Tops.
"GOOD" things - good behavior, being responsible, helping others, and other various things.
Once each six weeks, I will have a Ticket Store. Students can trade their tickets for trinkets, special priviledges, and other things.
*Parents can help by donating things like pencils, notepads, individually packaged snacks, etc.
*If you have items you'd like to donate, I'd greatly appreciate it. (small toys, cool pencils,etc.)
