 Welcome to Wylie Junior High! My name is Dana Elliott and I teach both 7th and 8th grade Math. I have been teaching Math since 1992. I started in Copperas Cove, Texas where I met my husband to be, who was also teaching there for 2 years,we moved to a small, small,school in Star,Texas. At that school, I had 9 different subjects that I taught. Wow!What an experience that was. After having our 2nd child,I became a stay-at-home mom for a couple of years. During that time, my husband changed coaching jobs again, and we moved to Abilene, where he coached for 5 years at Mann Middle School. I eventually went back to work in 2000, and have been at Wylie Junior High since.
I have the privilege of working with my husband, Coach Michael Elliott. He teaches 7th grade History and coaches here at the junior high. We have two children who are proud Wylie Bulldogs. We are members of Pioneer Baptist Church, where I teach 3 year old Sunday School.
My teaching philosophy has been influenced by my Christian faith. I believe I have been called to teach and that all students can learn. Know that I am very passionate about what I do and would not want to do anything else. I truly look forward to each year and the group of students that I will be working with. God Bless! |
