Hello, I am Denise Brandon, and I teach at Wylie High School in Abilene, Texas. I have taught school for 11 years, and I have been at Wylie for 5 years. I am presently teaching English II and Pre-Ap English II. I enjoy teaching sophomores, and I am glad that this is the particular age group with whom I get to spend my day. My hope for my students is that they become better readers and writers. I also strive to instill a deeper desire for reading, not just in the classroom, but outside of it as well.

It probably comes as no surprise, but reading is one of my favorite hobbies outside of school. I enjoy telling students about various works I am reading outside of the classroom, and in turn they enlighten me about works of which I would otherwise have no knowledge. Hopefully, by the end of the year we have all grown through our literary experiences!
