We will be talking about Our Country Today for the next couple of weeks. Our topics are: Local Government, State Government, Federal Government, and Voting. Our vocabulary words are: government, mayor, citizen, governor, congress, president, freedom, motto, and monument. Students will be voting on Tuesday for their choice of president. |

Reading |
| This week we are reading the novel The Stories Julian Tells in class. We will be working on sequencing events, comparing characters, and cause and effect. Monday night homework is to read TIME FOR KIDS and do the worksheet. |
