comparing and ordering objects by weight, adding 10 to a multiple of 10, finding the missing numbers on a piece of the hundred number chart, addition facts-sums of 11; measuring with 1” color tiles; naming fractional parts and writing fractions using notation
Spelling
This week our spelling is review words. The words are:
each, about, my, go, out, them, then, she, many, any, some, so , these, would, other, into, has, like, same, right, January, February, March, April, May, June
Social Studies
We will be talking about Our Country Today for the next couple of weeks. Our topics are: Local Government, State Government, Federal Government, and Voting. Our vocabulary words are: government, mayor, citizen, governor, congress, president, freedom, motto, and monument. Students will be voting on Tuesday for their choice of president.
Turkeys
I need your cute little turkeys on Tuesday. Thanks
Reading
This week we are reading the novel The Stories Julian Tells in class. We will be working on sequencing events, comparing characters, and cause and effect. Monday night homework is to read TIME FOR KIDS and do the worksheet.
Upcoming Events
Nov. 11 - Veteran's Day program for current or retired military. 1:30
Nov. 21 - Due date for ordering Wylie Elementary Yearbook. ($16.00)
Nov. 24 and 25 - Early Release days (1:00)

December 11 - Rapstine's class performs music program at 2:00 PM. Students can wear pajamas for the show.
Reading Counts
Everyone needs to read at least two books per week and make 2 passing grade on their RC tests.
Language
This week we will be talking about complete subject and predicate and simple subject and predicate.We will be adding Prepositions and Object of the prepositions.
